D-Y-I Exfoliant

So I found this awesome exfoliant recipe on THIS cute site. Thought I would share it with you all. It smells YUM and makes your skin so soft!

                                      5 tablespoons sea salt
                                      1 tablespoon olive oil
                                      1 lemon

First mix the olive oil and sea salt together. Once the salt gets coated by the oil, the lemon won’t dissolve it! Next cut the lemon in half and squeeze over the salt + oil. Mix and mash.

I have done many D-I-Y exfoliants, and this is my favorite so far! If you have any recipes of you own....DO SHARE!

Sagging Skin?

Has the summer sun taken a toll on your skin?? Well winter is coming up and it's time to show your skin some love. We all have our dislikes about ourselves. So i found this website, it's a site that has home remedies for EVERYTHING. fyi.

Anyways, if your face (or any other part of your body) seems a little saggy and you want to tighten up a bit here are some helpful tips. Keep in mind that your not going to get the same results you get from a plastic surgeon, but it will make a noticeable difference leaving you feeling better about yourself in a bikini and keep your wallet full.

Lemon juice, honey (both known as an anit-flammatory) & rosemary are some things that help circulation which improves skin.

*Put lemon juice on your face at night, wash it off in the morning with warm water (will help reduce the size of the pores as well)

*Put a few drops of lemon juice in honey, keep that on for about 20 min.

*Almond oil is also a skin tightener as well as an natural moisturizer (and strong source of vitamin E)

*Exfoliating: This is on of my favorites, you can make your own body scrub (water and sugar). This leaves your skin with a glow and tightens as well.

*You can also use masques 1-2 times a week. Use the white of an egg. Paint it on with a brush so it goes on evenly. Leave until dried, then wash it off with warm cloth. This will also tighten your pores.

*Don't forget that you can use camomile tea bags soaked in cold water then put over your eyes while masque is sitting to get rid of dark circles or puffiness around the eyes!

I've used this on the backs of my legs (cellulite) and stop drinking pop, i have noticed a difference and they look more smooth now... You all need to try it.

Well i'm going on a vay-cay from blogging for a few days, so I will start back up on Monday. Have a good week everyone!

D-I-Y Lip Scrub

Dry, Flakey lips are almost in season with the dry, cold weather on the way. So try this D-I-Y lip scrub every few days to keep soft, lush, glowing lips!

  •                          1 tsp baking soda (or sugar for a more abrasive scrub)
  •                          1 tsp honey
  •                          and a few drops of olive oil
  •                         *you can also add an essential oil for a yummy scent!

Just apply to lips, let sit for about a min. then scrub away. Rinse, then apply Vaseline (or olive oil).

*For a natural plumper, mix a little bit of peppermint essential oil  to your lip balm. It tingles and leaves your lips a little plumper and juicier!

Tip: Advil Liquid Gels

I saw this Idea from Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try.

Don't you hate those zits that just won't come to head and won't pop and are way swollen? Well break an Advil Liquid Gel and apply it right on your zit and it takes the swelling down almost immediately! I can testify that this works!

Apply this paste over your body and cover yourself with towels or sheets. Leave on for an hour and then take a bath with lukewarm water for the best results. for more info click here

Do-It-Yourself Face Masques

who would have ever thought the things your put in your mouth are just as good as putting it on your skin??

Here dyi's masques that can help you to have wonderful, flawless skin..

If you have wrinkles or dry skin.... smash up 1/2 avacado and add 1 Tbs. of honey. Mix well and put on your face for 10-15 min.

If you have irritated skin.... Put 2 Tbs. of oatmeal into a bowl of ice water. (the cooling sensation shrinks the oatmeal masque to your face, pulling out any dirt and debris out of your pores) after 60 seconds soak with a wash cloth. and wah-la! you have lovely skin

If you have bags under your eyes or puffy eyes.... apply olive oil to eyes lids, then soak tea bags (i use chamomile & it's great) in water, and them put them over your eyes for about 10-15 min! you'll instantly notice a difference.

If you have oily skin...... smashed bananas

If you have acne.... Asprin masque for healing pimples, acne.. crush asprin and mix in water/oil/honey to dry up pimples.

(all masques should stay on around 10-15 min)
