Sugaring VS Waxing

Have you been sugared? Have you been waxed? Have you done both? Which path do you choose when it comes to removing your hair. Before becoming an Esthetician, I waxed. Then I learned of this old-age technique called sugaring. It is made up of sugar, lemon juice and water. Made in a certain way to have a taffy-like consistency. Now I choose sugar. I still wax my eyebrows. But when it comes to the sensitive areas (underarms, bikini, brazillian) I sugar! Lets weigh the pro's and con's of both wax & sugar.

As you can see, I'm a fan of sugaring. There are no con's to sugaring other than it might take a little longer. Most people who have be waxed say the sugaring is less painful (not pain-less) than waxing because it gets it straight from the follicle instead of breaking it off at the surface. Also, when we sugar, we apply the sugar against the hair growth and pull with the hair VS wax we apply with and pull against the hair. There are so many reasons as to why sugar should be your method of hair removal. Not a lot of people know what it is so I though I would educate you all. Not many Estheticians know how to sugar which is why you should find someone in your area that does it. I really enjoy sugaring people and educating them how to care better for their skin. Sugaring is great even if you have sensitive skin. IT's 100% Natural!! If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

Grapesicle Beauty Rush: Victoria Secret

This is by far the best flavor of any lotion/spray I have EVER used. Unfortunately they discontinued it (which boggles my mind). My aunt bought a whole bunch when they went on sale and gave me like 6 bottles of it. I have used these bottles very sparingly! I would only use it for special occasions and didn't spare any to anyone! I have used this scent since high school and am still not sick of it. I even used it when I was pregnant and I still LOVE it! (I hate all the other smells I used when preggo)!

Am I the only on who love this scent and will do anything for Vickies to bring it back, even for a limited time? When my last bottle runs out, i'm going to cry. Also i'm not going to pay $100 on Ebay for a bottle. That's Redic! maybe not.

Here is the FACEBOOK page to 'Bring back the Scent'!
Go there, and LIKE it! PALEASE. tell your friends.

Do any of you have a favorite scent? Please share. I might need to find another one :(

Have a wonderful weekend!

Product Review: Bosley Hair

I have recently started using this product because my hair is starting to thin out due to just having had a baby. I texted my hair dresser in a panic thinking my life was over! No one wants thin-stringy hair!

She suggested getting this shampoo/conditioner/thickening treatment.
I have used it only a week and half and have already noticed results. It has like a peppermint tingling in the conditioner and a lovely smell. My hair appears and feels thicker and stimulates more hair growth. I give this product a A+ and recommend it to everyone with thin/fine hair. (I never thought I would be in that category).

Leave-in thickening treatment. Apply at roots when hair is damp and it helps to give your hair the body/boost it needs.

They have different kinds for different hair types. Give it try and let me know what you think!

ELF Make-Up

As I have said before. I love E.L.F make-up! I ordered all this make-up for a total of $30! They always have great deals going on. You will rarely find something more than $3 on this site. And it's great product!
read on...

I have never used blush sticks and decided to give it a try! I love these you just apply at the apple of your cheeks and blend with a make-up sponge.

I love the powder foundation. It has a little shimmer in it and it gives my skin the even look it needs!

I love this eyeliner!! It is thick and never bleeds or smears through-out the day.

Primer and plumper. The plumper smells like cinnamon!

I like how thick and long-lasting the lip gloss is. So I got myself 4 of them :)

Primer and mascara. I like the primer and liner sealer. But the mascara isn't thick enough for my liking!

There was a deal that if you spent $25 you get this make-up pallet for $3.50 (orig. $35). What a great deal. I couldn't pass it up!

what's your favorite make-up line?

Favorite Products AOL (As Of Late)

Here are some random products I have been liking lately!

Britney Spears perfume "Circus". I love the roll-on perfumes so I can always have a refresher in my purse!

 1. SexSymbol Aerotan: This is like a spray-on foundation. It has a little shimmer to it. However, it's not a gradual spray-on tan. It washes off at the end of the day. I really like it because it goes on evenly and smells lovely!

2.Big Sexy Hair: I LOVE the smell of this. Plus it has a good hold. But you have to use it sparingly because it is so strong!

3. Sexy Hair Volumizing Serum: I like this because it gives body to my hair after blow drying it. I put it on when my hair is damp.

I also love the big sexy hair shampoo! Having had a baby, my hair is starting to thin out. But this product gives body and thickens my hair. Love it!

L'Oreal Sublime Bonze: I like to mix a little of this in with my moisturizer. I feel like it distributes more easily when I do. It is a gradual tan and has a little shimmer which gives your skin such a pretty glow.

Olay Total Effects: I was in need of a new moisturizer and decided to try this one out. When buying new products for myself (hair, skin, lotions), smell is one of the first things that sell me on that product. And this moisturizer not only smells good, but it has a little shimmer glow and leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated!
If you all have a product you like. Feel free to share~

At-Home Laser

This is the first FDA approved at-home laser and anyone can buy it. I have read reviews and 76% percent of people were satisfied with it. It only works on dark brown or black hair (like any other laser) because the laser needs pigment to cling to. And it is not safe for brown-black skin because of high levels of melanin in the skin. Melanin is the pigment that gives brown it's colouring.

So I decided to buy it and am going to try it out and see how it works! There is a 90-day money back guarantee. Like any-other laser, it's going to take a few treatments to notice results!

And right now there is a $50 off promotion. CODE:FIFTY

Product: doTERRA Oils

Let me be one of probably hundreds of people to rave to you all about these oils. However, before I go on about all the things these oils can help, let's all remember that there are things that they can't, and for those things, you need to use modern medicine and doctors. After all, that's why we have them!

I have used many of the doTERRA oils and have loved them all. But there are some I find myself using more than others. All these oils have MANY uses. But i'm going to tell you all what I use mine for.

DigestZen: bladder infections, cramps, stomach aches, constipation. Since you can't really give your infants medicine for stomach aches, this is great to have.

Lavender: This one does a alot I put this on my baby boy's feet at night (applying under foot is a great way to distribute oils into the body) to help him to sleep and relax. It also helped with his thrush in his mouth.
I use it for chapped lips, diaper rashes, stretch marks and stress.

Lemon: I put a few drops in a bottle full of 6 oz. of water and use it to spray my clean sheets, furniture, ect. I also use it to clean my counter tops. I love my house to smell like lemons. So I clean everything with it, including putting a few drops in my washer with my laundry. Also helps with cradle cap!

Melaleuca: Since this oil has tea tree in it, it's great for acne. So I usually put a drop in my moisturizer or cleanser because it contains antibacterial properties in it. You can also use it as a deodorant (which I haven't tried yet) It help with warts, shingles, ear infections, hives and much more.

Deep Blue: I use this one a lot on my husband who plays sports and always has an aching-something. So I use this for sore/cramping muscles. It has the same feeling as hot/cold. You can buy this in a form of a lotion. Which I love!

Peppermint: As I mentioned in my last post, I like to put a dab of this on my lips. I love the tingle and it makes my lips plump and feel plump. I also put a few drop in my bath when I have sinus congestion to help me breath and relax. Also good for nausea, bad breath, fever, motion sickness, asthma and skin allergies.

Breathe: I really like this one. Whether i'm stuffed up or not, I rub this on my chest at night (like vicks vapor rub) and it helps me to sleep so much better. I also put it in my humidifier and it makes the room to much more breathable and smells yummy!

There are so many oils that I didn't mention. They are all great and have so many great purposes! It's amazing what smell can do to a bad mood!

Product of the Week: Baby Lips

Product of the Week: Revitalash

I'm not a fan of eyelash extensions. They look beautiful! But they are an expensive up-keep and aren't the best for your natural lashes!

Before you think that is your only option, consider using Revitalash first!
You can find this at NEW IMAGE DAY SPA. (starting at $90)

You apply to the base of your lashes, top and bottom. Usually before bed when you have no make up on. You don't have to wash it off. Apply every night. Note that this does not thicken your lashes, but it helps the lashes you DO have to grow. Then all you do is buy a mascara that thickens, and you should have long.lush.lashes! It should take about 4-5 weeks for you to notice results. And if you don't, you can return for a FULL refund!

I have used it myself and have noticed such a difference! I recommend to everyone. It's cheaper than extensions so it's worth giving it a try!

My Favorite Products as of Late

Being preggo, i'm super nervous about getting the dreaded stretch marks! Although most skin types are genetic and if your mom didn't get them, chances are, you won't either. However, it doesn't hurt to use things that could possibly prevent them (drinking lotsa water, creams, ect.)! A few people I work with have used this cream and didn't get one stretch mark. They swear by it. So, I decided to try it out. (Although the odds of getting stretch marks are in my favor, thanks mom!)

So far, I haven't gotten one stretch mark! But it is still to early to tell. So i'll keep you all posted.
You can get this bruise and scar cream at New Image Day Spa. Not only is it good for stretch marks, it also can help soften scars, and heals burns!

Love this leave-in treatment volumizer by bed head, it's called small talk! Not only does it give volume to your hair, it smells like heaven!

This is one of my favorite moisturizers (what we all need this time of year)!
It smells delightful

My hair dresser used this hair spray on my hair once, and I had to go buy it the moment I got done. It gives your hair the stick it needs, but still leaves it soft and not stiff. Did I mention it also smells like heaven? can you tell i'm big into smells?
That's it for now, other than the scar and bruise cream, you can get everything else at the beauty supply!

Do any of you use any products you love and want to share, please do!

Product of the Week: St. Tropez Self Tanner

I'm going to start posting a product of the week! Products that I use myself and love!
So this week is....

A Self Tanner. Now that summer is gone we are all going to resort to tanning beds, but before you do, try this self tanner. I know I have talked about this a few times but I have tried so many self tanners! This product, so far, is my favorite! It's a mousse and instantly develops so it would be great to wear gloves when you apply it. I usually put it on at night and then rinse it off in the morning and it leaves such a wonderful glow. No orange-looking-oompa-loompa look! It is amazing
